Holy Family Lay Association

The Holy Family Lay Association is a community of family members committed to supporting the lay apostolate of the Congregation of the Holy Family (CHF). They dedicate themselves to carrying forward the charism of Saint Mariam Thresia, fostering spiritual renewal and strengthening family life. This association consists of ideal family members who embrace the mission of supporting and strengthening families, just as Saint Mariam Thresia did before embracing religious life.

Inspired by her early ministry, these lay members follow her example of listening to God’s call, serving families, and fostering spiritual renewal within households. On the Feast of the Holy Family, members take an oath to dedicate themselves to the mission of nurturing and guiding families, ensuring their spiritual well-being and salvation.

Since families best understand the joys and struggles of other families, the members of the Lay Association stand for families, by families, and with families. They work alongside CHF sisters in visiting homes, comforting the sick, offering spiritual accompaniment, and preparing individuals for their final journey. They provide a listening ear to those in distress, helping to restore relationships and bring peace into family life.

By serving with compassion and dedication, the Holy Family Lay Association continues the legacy of Saint Mariam Thresia, building families rooted in faith, love, and unity.

The association fosters a spiritual connection between its members and the mission of CHF, encouraging them to live out the values of the Holy Family in their daily lives. Through prayer, service, and community engagement, members contribute to the well-being and purification of families, which is at the heart of CHF’s apostolate. This association brings together lay people who are inspired by the charism of CHF, which emphasizes compassionate love, deep union with the Crucified Lord, and a liberative mission through family apostolate

The Holy Family Lay Association also provides opportunities for spiritual growth, formation, and active participation in CHF’s mission. It serves as a bridge between the congregation and the wider community, ensuring that the spirit of CHF extends beyond religious life into the lives of laypeople who seek to embody its values.
