Family Visit

The House Visit conducted by the Congregation of the Holy Family (CHF) is a deeply spiritual and pastoral mission inspired by the life and legacy of St. Mariam Thresia, the foundress of the congregation. These visits are not merely social interactions—they are sacred encounters rooted in the belief that families are the heart of spiritual renewal. Following in the saint’s footsteps, CHF sisters go from home to home, offering:

  • Prayer and spiritual support, often praying with families and blessing the household.
  • Counsel and comfort, especially to those facing illness, grief, or family struggles.
  • Encouragement in faith, helping families grow in love, forgiveness, and unity.
  • Practical help, such as caring for the sick or elderly, or guiding children and youth.

St. Mariam Thresia herself was known for walking barefoot to visit families in need, regardless of caste or creed. She believed that “a family that prays together stays together”, and her mission was to heal broken relationships and bring Christ into the center of every home.

Today, CHF sisters continue this legacy with humility and compassion, often saying they are “walking in the footprints of the saint.” It’s a ministry of presence—quiet, powerful, and transformative.
