Aswas Ministry is a special spiritual initiative dedicated to supporting bereaved families who have lost their loved ones unexpectedly—especially due to sudden or accidental deaths. Their grief often runs deep, and the journey toward healing and returning to everyday life takes time and compassionate care.
To accompany them in this process, we organize a three-day Aswas Retreat. This retreat offers a sacred space for families to reflect, receive support, and find inner peace. Since the departed can no longer act on their own behalf, we offer prayerful intercession, helping these souls on their journey toward heavenly rest.
Our ministry includes visiting grieving families, offering consolation and helping heal the invisible wounds that sudden loss leaves behind. Many participants leave the retreat with a renewed sense of hope, comfort, and serenity.
The retreat is guided by a committed team of 22 animators. Together, we offer:
- Inspirational sessions tailored to the needs of the grieving.
- The Sacrament of Confession, fostering reconciliation and peace.
- Holy Masses and Special prayers offered in loving memory of the departed.
- Intercessory prayers led by dedicated prayer groups during the program.
- Spiritual and psychological counseling to address emotional pain and confusion.
In all we do, we strive to live out the charism of St. Mariam Thresia, who had a profound devotion to praying for the souls of the departed.
